Assessment of Multiple Perspectives on Stuttered Speech™ (AMPSS™) Protocol
Study Overview - July 2025

Stuttering Therapy Resources is developing an all-new protocol for measuring stuttering, the Assessment of Multiple Perspectives on Stuttered Speech, or AMPSS, protocol. This measure is focused on the speaker's perceptions during moments when they feel "stuck" or have difficulty speaking the way they want or when they want.

To ensure that the measure reflects the experiences of people who stutter, we are conducting a research study to collect data from speakers who stutter, as well as from important conversational partners, such as parents and other caregivers, teachers, and speech-language pathologists.

Stuttering Therapy Resources is carefully following ethical procedures to ensure safety and confidentiality for participants. Your identifiable data will not be collected or shared with anyone, and you may discontinue participation at any time. A full informed consent statement is included in each component of the study.
